China Yunnan is an exotic plant, a possible connection between the classical indicas and the South Asian sativas. It displays characteristics from both sides of the cannabis spectrum.

On one hand, it grows strong and compact with beautiful wide leaves and the hash plant look. Its flowers mature quickly with a high resin production and sweet creamy scents. On the other hand, it shows some Asian sativa features which can be appreciated in its initial effect and in certain fragrant and woody scents as well as morphologically in the structure of some phenos.

China Yunnan is an 80% indica strain suitable for indoor cultivation as well as outdoor up to a latitude of 45° N & S. Indoors, flowering takes a period of 8 – 9 weeks with yields said to be medium – high. Outdoors, plants will be ready to harvest at the end of September / beginning of October in the northern hemisphere. Moderate to high levels of nutrients recommended while the substrate should not be kept too damp.

There are three broad types of terpene profiles with a degree of overlap. The first is
creamy and sweet/sour; the second is more organic with incense and hash notes while the third is a more sativa expression, woody and floral.

THC content is up to 17% while CBD can vary between 0 – 8%. The effect is happy, expansive and visual initially, becoming more relaxing and mellow.
